She felt inspired by the heartwarming story of these two sisters and pushed herself deliver an authentic performance to breathe life into the material. “working with my crew, there was a significantly accommodating, mature and efficient space that I'd never experienced before - particularly as an actor, and for that reason, it is an experience I won't forget. “

Karley Lotz, (21) is a third year Live performance student playing “Jacklyn Turner” the developing protagonist of ‘A Perfect Storm’. She felt immense pressure bring justice to the character who is riddled with deep guilt and grief and hopes she delivered a moving nuanced portrayal. “Constantly being surrounded with such professional, passionate people fuelled me to want more for myself as an actress and the need to bring justice to my character.”

Kayla du Plessis (21) is a 3rd Year Live Performance student, portraying the supporting character in ‘A Perfect Storm’ “Sam”. She enjoyed playing a character filled with snark and grit who brought a sense of ease in an otherwise emotionally taxing tale. “Acting isn't the easy but doing these challenges made it fun and just makes you love it more. The crew work together which made the shooting days easier.”

Loyiso Mthethwa (20) is a 3rd year Live Performance student portraying the supporting role of Dr Robbins in ‘A Perfect Storm’. She felt a fond of playing a character with a serious impact which this sister’s relationship. “Maybe it was cause by my childhood desire to become a doctor or just because I was working with a sweet and cooperative crew. I thoroughly enjoyed this role”
